Weed and Chronic Pain

Fibromyalgia is a legit symptom of pain that is chronic, and it can be hard for a lot of people to get the help that they need. Some physicians are able to find the nerve damage that results from this, and of course, a way to better understand chronic pain. There are still some myths though that are a big part of chronic pain, and here, we’ll go over the most common chronic pain myths, and also a little bit about how weed can help with this problem.

It’s Imagined!

This is probably one of the most frustrating aspects of chronic pain, since a lot of people can’t predict it, but a lot don’t understand, so they think you’re making it all up. It can be incredibly painful for a lot of people, and the sad thing is, a lot of patients don’t know how to fully manage the pain, and also make their lives a bit easier with this.

Without proper symptom managing, it can control you instead of you controlling the pain. It can actually make the pain both mild to even severe, and it can be a huge challenge for a lot of people.

It goes Away

That would be great, but it’s called chronic pain for a reason. Sometimes, the symptoms do improve and may resolve for a bit, but the thing is, it can cause phantom pains as well in the body, which can be moderate and severe depending on the problems at hand.

The thing is, it can still trigger pain even if you’re not able to really have it, and that’s the part that gets people.

Doctors can’t diagnose

They actually can. There is a pain scale that works, and the definitive one is the Won-Baker Faces Pain scale, which shows faces on how you feel. It can be persistent, but the thing is it can also change with each may be manageable with a little bit of Tylenol, but the next day you feel awesome. There are diagnoses that they can use, so if you do have chronic pain and don’t think someone can help you, it’s good to think again.

You Must Be Impaired

Everyone that has chronic pain doesn’t have to be impaired. Some think that you’re faking it with that, but the thing is, there are those that want to use this to make the pain more manageable.

It can sometimes help to make you feel like you can have a functional life with it. Not everyone is trying to get high to the point where they’re glued to the couch, they just want to be able to actually do things without feeling like their pain is going to destroy them for a few minutes.

Only High Potency Works

This is a huge misnomer for a lot of people. They think they need to have the highest product imaginable, but for a lot of people, a little bit of a puff or half a gummy edible is really good. According to studies, men tend to get the munchies a lot more, but women can be much more sensitive, so the less you can consume the better for some female patients, especially with symptoms that are chronic.

There are also different cannabis strains and different potencies within these, and you can talk to the budtender or the marijuana doctor to help you figure out which type of product that you need to help manage the pain well, and also to make it so that you can actually get out and do things once more, which is what a lot of patients want.
